Celebrate Your Wedding or Special Event at the Fairlawn Inn

The Fairlawn Inn is in the shadow of Hunter Mountain, surrounded by Catskill State Park. This historic home has been restored with modern amenities while keeping the charm and character of the original property. It awaits your special event. We specialize in smaller weddings and each wedding is meticulously planned and unique, only limited by your imagination.

You and your guests can mingle on the myriad of porches, patio and gardens that surround the home. The inn can host your wedding party, family and guests with many other lodging options surrounding it for guest overflow. Let the innkeeper handle some or all of your wedding needs. We can plan and organize the rehearsal party, ceremony, reception and lodging. All weddings are individually planned for each occasion. Menus are tailored for specific needs and tastes.

You are surrounded by the Great Northern Catskills which were immortalized by the Hudson River School of Painters. The Hunter area was the first tourist destination with the first large hotel in the wilds of nature, the Catskill Mountain House, which stood on the escarpment in what is now the North South Lake State Park.

Come visit us to see the beautiful inn, gardens and surrounding area and begin the odyssey of sharing the rest of your lives together. We look forward to visiting with you soon!

"I Never Give 5 Stars, But I Did This Time"
Reviewed January 30, 2013

I have stayed many places and especially many B&B's. Many of them have exceeded my expectations.
Few have disappointed. Chuck the inn keeper definitely did not disappoint. I expected big things from
what I had read and heard and he delivered. This time the trip was with 6 couples from our Staff team.
We not only stayed but we met there for our planning meetings and Chuck cooked for us almost all
our meals for the week. I could go on and on about the beautiful inn but honestly it was Chucks cooking
and his attention to every detail that really impressed me. He truly has a gift of hospitality and has found
his calling in life. Beyond that he is a great chef. He can take the ordinary and make it a culinary experience
that explodes in your mouth and in your heart. I would recommend not only couples looking for a great
inn but corporate and church teams who need a place to meet, eat and sleep. This will be an experience to
remember. I Give Fairlawn 5 Stars in all of the above. I never do this (give 5 stars) but that is how I sum
up our stay. Our whole team loved it.

"Wonderful escape & the best cooking in NY"

The 1st thing we thought after leaving was "We miss Chuck!" (the Innkeeper at Fairlawn). I cannot express
in words how WONDERFUL our stay at the Fairlawn Inn was...the Inn is not only filled with charm &
warm touches throughout, Chuck, makes certain you are attended for and have the best gourmet food
in NY (all homemade by him :). From breakfast to lunch to the most creative dinners. All with such
flavor. 5 star restaurants in the City have nothing on him ;) We stayed in the Rose Room and loved every part
of our stay. It may have been 3 degrees outside, but we were so comfortable and cozy inside, there was no
need to step outside. Great corporate retreat spot for a leadership team to plan, strategize & refresh!!! - Lily

"So enjoyed our stay!"

My husband and I stayed at the Fairlawn with our co-workers on a staff retreat. Chuck pretty much treated
us like royalty with his amazing home-cooked meals and friendly conversation. Since we had the house to
ourselves, it was very homey, inviting and cozy. We loved sitting by the fireplace for our meetings. Our
room was enjoyable and perfect for just the two of us. Because it is an old house you can hear some creaks
but we turned on some white noise using an app from the iPhone and got great sleep. Loved the views and
location as well. Just can't say enough about how amazing the food was as well! Thanks Chuck!!

"A Bride's Review"

If you are looking for a beautiful location, with a wonderful staff, who will meet your every expectation
you have come to the right place. The Fairlawn was the perfect venue for us. Friday night, Chuck and his
staff prepared a delicious rehearsal dinner for the 40 guests who arrived early for the wedding. We
enjoyed our dinner throughout the Inn, some sat inside in the antique filled dining room, while others
enjoyed the glass top tables on the porches of the Inn where they could enjoy the beautiful view of the
gardens. The food was delicious and plentiful.

On the wedding day, our ceremony was located in the gardens under tents that Chuck had decorated
prior to us arriving. In the early planning stages of the wedding, I told Chuck the theme of our wedding,
color choices, and he created a picture perfect wedding for us.

Chuck and his staff were very attentive to our every need. Before we could think of what we needed
they were there with it. Our day was enjoyable and stress free. Our guests loved everything about
the wedding, they raved about the food and how smoothly the day went. The best part was when the
wedding was over the guests continued to enjoy the weekend staying at the Fairlawn.

I would recommend the Fairlawn Inn for the bride and groom who wants a custom, worry free wedding.

Thank you Chuck for making our day PERFECT!
